Mehrez Elwaseif

Originally from Egypt, Mehrez is a California professional geophysicist with over 20 years of consulting and applied research experience in a wide variety of environmental and engineering geophysical applications. Mehrez started his geophysics career at the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) in Egypt before traveling to United States in 2007. During his graduate and postdoc research years, Mehrez developed algorithms designed for importing large and complex geophysical datasets, performing quality control data evaluation, and improving processing of 2D, 3D, and 4D geophysical datasets. Several of these datasets and algorithms have been published in peer reviewed geophysical journals and presented in conferences. Over the years, Mehrez conducted geophysical projects around the globe in the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Mehrez is currently a senior technologist at Jacobs where he is leading a team to make environmental and engineering geophysics more visible and usable.
